I’ve not been as updated with the blog as I should be, so here’s work from all 3 subjects from the past 2-3 weeks.
LIBERO:
For libero we have been playing with different techniques and perspectives a lot. Perspective is still rather difficult for me but I have been enjoying it. Drawing scenery around me is something that’s very interesting and I’d like to do something like that more

ILLUSTRATION:
For illustration we’ve been doing the same quick sketch assignment at the start of the day. This form is practice is very nice and fun, it lets me not be perfect in sketching which I really like.
Week one we were assigned to make a leporello of our room. I used oil pastels on paper, this is a material I’ve only discovered recently. The paper I used was a little too thin, so I’ll use some thicker paper next time.

For the second assignment we took pictures of objects from our room and we imagined stories for them. I have some ‘treasures’ in my room that I collect & there’s a ton of fish objects in my room.
For the story I’ve imagined a new kind of fish, and gave it a folklore like story. This is based off of the stories people in the amazon make up about these fish in their rivers.
For my piece I combined three fish species together: The head of a Tigerfish, the body of an Arapaima and the patterns of a Red-Tail Catfish (/ Arapaima on the tail).

COLLECTING MATERIAL:
For both GID and Illustration we’ve been tasked to collect frottages/ images & drawings from around the house.
