Graphic Design & Illustration
Alphabet
– with objects, shapes and shadows

”Scrapbook alphabet”
– all repurposed letters from different fonts found on objects in my room

Physical alphabet
– For this alphabet i focused more on finding letters in the actual shape of an object and creating a letter, instead of looking for existing letters.

Dream in my language
- Dream = Droom in Dutch
- It does come together even when the letters are not positioned from A to B in an overview, you can still make out what letter it is when it’s put into use like this and that’s nice to see.
Theory
Bring an image with meaning and write a letter

I brought this image to class and I imagine any Dutch person around our age to slightly older probably knows this character. Dikkie Dik (Tummy Tom) basically taught me how to read. This illustration is one of the most famous one’s to be featured in a whole lot of childerens books. It’s simple, but has an incredible way of being so iconic that nearly every child would call an orange cat his name. The fact an simple illustration can have such an impact on the life of many people is truly inspiring.
